Graveside services for Margaret Iwaszko, 91, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating will be Deacon Larry Mills.
Margaret was born on April 21, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Walter and Magdaline Adams. She passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Margaret was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church in Charles Town, West Virginia for over 25 years. Her funeral mass was celebrated there on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., a video of the mass is available on YouTube at, https://youtu.be/MUxjV332ncU. She was a beloved mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was always baking chocolate chip cookies and treating the children. Margaret was very supportive and active in her children's and grandchildren's lives, she taught them how to read, ride their bike and was there for the births of Rebecca and Jennifer. Her family will miss her so very much.
Margaret was a veracious reader, she would never read fiction books, only political science, philosophy or religion books. If you knew Margaret well, you knew she had a very spunky, fun and spitfire personality. She never left a dish in the sink when it came to cleaning, even in assisted living she was the dorm mom, she cleaned and picked up after everyone. Margaret was a Devoted Witness, she always performed daily devotions at 3:00 p.m. every day, the time Jesus died on the cross.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Bertram Iwaszko; and son, Mark and wife, Ingrid. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Iwaszko; son, Chris Iwaszko and wife, Penny; and grandchildren, Rebecca Flynn, Jennifer Flynn and Izabella Iwaszko.
