Margaret Grace Bailey Page

Margaret Grace Bailey Page, 92, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on February 20, 2024. She was born on August 20, 1931, in Coushatta, Louisiana to Doxey and Grace Bailey.

Graveside services honoring the life of Margaret will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. located at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta.

Margaret graduated from Coushatta High School at 16 years of age. Her class was the last group that would graduate at 11th grade with a high school diploma. The next year and thereafter, students had to complete 12 years of school.

She was married for more than 60 years to Ray Hue Page, before his passing in 2017. They took many trips to Arkansas and Broken Bow to go camping and fishing. Fishing was one of her favorite past times. She loved to plan trips to go to her brother’s pond to fish. Being outdoors was her passion. She loved doing yardwork, working her flower beds, and watching her birds. If she wasn’t outside, she was inside cooking. She was one of the best cooks around.

She loved church. She led a ladies prayer meeting for many years and was actively involved in church in some capacity. Her friends made her happy. She went on many trips with them to see teachers and preachers from all around. You could always call on Margaret to pray for you. As for her family, she would do anything for them. She adored them and loved them. Her family could always count on her for prayer, advice and always love. There was no doubt how much she cared for them. She has brought smiles to many people. For the person who met her, they would remember her. She would leave an impression wherever she went.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Doxey and Grace Bailey; husband, Ray Hue Page; and sisters, Joann Horlander and Linda Carter. Left to cherish her memory include her brother, Donald Bailey and wife Mary Alice; nieces, Karan Hall and husband Jimmy, Jan Lewis and husband David, Kelly Heiston and Cindy Carter; along with several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
