Margaret L. Bissell

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ward Bissell will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 01, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at the chapel on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Old Union Cemetery in Benson, LA. Margaret was born on January 12, 1931 in Converse, Louisiana to Earl & Helen Champion Ward. She entered into rest on November 28, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana. Teaching children was Margaret's passion as she taught the small children Sunday School at Beulah Baptist Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed just sitting and watching them grow. She was preceded in death by her husband Buster Bissell and her parents Earl & Helen Ward Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debra Anderson of Noble, LA; Gary "Bubba" Bissell & wife Suzanne of Converse, LA; Cindy Saffel & husband Rick of Kingston, LA; Tommy Bissell & wife Cindy of Converse, LA; sister, Kay Henderson of Converse, LA; brothers, Robert Ward & wife Marlene of Shreveport, LA; Morrell E. Ward "Buttcutt" & wife Emma Lou of Many, LA; sister-in-law; Mary Lee Myers of Converse, LA; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Serving Mrs. Bissell as pallbearers will be Eb Springer, Lucas Springer, Nathan Brewer, Bobby Saffel, Shannon Bissell & Scott Ray In lieu of flowers memorial may be made in Margaret's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Gideons or a charity of your choice.
