Marcille "Granny" Hollis

A celebration of life for Marcille “Granny” Hollis, 93, will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Officiating the service will be Minister Ben Brewster.

Marcille was born on October 6, 1932, to Garland and Ola Worley in Haughton, Louisiana, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Benton, Louisiana.

Marcille was married to her husband, J.W. Hollis, for 52 beautiful years. She was best known for her deep love of babies and children, especially her treasured grandchildren and great‑grandchildren who were the joy of her life. Marcille faithfully served in the nursery at Airline Drive Church of Christ for many years, tenderly caring for generations of little ones with patience, kindness, and a heart full of devotion. Her gentle spirit and nurturing hands were a blessing to every child she cared for. She will be deeply missed.

Granny was preceded in death by her father, Garland Worley; her mother, Ola Worley; and her beloved husband, J.W. Hollis. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Junior Hollis, and wife, Lynea; daughters, Cissy Crouch, and husband, Mark, and Phyllis Vaughan, and husband, Gregg; sister, Johnnie Lou White and husband, Tommy; brother, Jerry Worley and wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Walt Hollis and wife, Kacie, Matt Hollis and wife, Emily, Jon Mark Crouch, Casey Dodson and Dustin Hagan, Katie Traweek and husband, Beau, and Dalton Vaughan and wife, Kayla; 10 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Granny’s sitter, Kathy Whorton, for all of the care and compassion given.
