Marcella Irene Brinsfield Wulf

Marcella Irene Brinsfield Wulf, 83, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, July, 22, 2023. Marcella was born on February 9, 1940, to Berry and Tommie Brinsfield in Newport, Arkansas.

She was a graduate of Newport High School. She fell in love and married Fred Wulf, in 1959.  After some travels together they established a home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In 1975 the family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana to establish a newspaper distribution business for the Daily Racing Form. She greatly enjoyed this time of her life. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed being outside working in her flower beds. As retirement began, she was finally able to really enjoy the extra time with all of her family. She loved all family get-togethers, decorating for every holiday, gardening, traveling, her Schnauzer and of course, shopping. Her trip to St. Petersburg, Russia was a definite highlight of her travels. She was an original member of the Krewe of Centaur. Her most cherished titles were those of Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and she prospered at them all. She loved the tea parties, piano recitals and conversations with her great-grandchildren.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her brothers, Larry Brinsfield, Jerry Brinsfield, Bobby Brinsfield, and their families; daughter, Melanie Burns and husband, Gary; son, Eric Wulf and wife, Blondell; grandson, Greg Burns and wife, Crystal; granddaughters, Ashley Burns Wright and husband, Jared, Misty Graham and husband, Joey and four great-grandchildren, Addilinn Wright, Easton Burns, Taylor Wright and Conner Graham.

In the later years of her life, she valiantly weathered the storms of several health issues. With her chin held high and perseverance she continued her steps of life, setting a great example for all who witnessed. Rest in peace mother, you have earned it.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 7301 Ohms Lane, Suite 355, Minneapolis, MN 55439.
