Lula Elizabeth Salter

Lula Elizabeth Salter, lovingly known as Beth, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 74. A devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Beth’s life was defined by selflessness, humor, and boundless love.

Born on December 2, 1950, Beth was the heart of her family—a steady presence whose compassion touched everyone she met. A natural caregiver, she gave of herself fully, putting her own life on hold to care for her beloved father, Henry Sallis, and her brother David Sallis in their final months as well as her beautiful mother, Mary Jo Sallis the last few years. Her care was tireless, offered with grace and without hesitation.

Beth had an extraordinary gift for finding humor in all things. Her ability to laugh at herself—more than anyone could laugh at her—brought joy to every room she entered. Her wit, humility, and warmth made people feel at ease, and her laughter was a source of light during even the darkest moments.

She is being welcomed with open, loving arms at Heaven’s gate by her father, Henry Sallis; her brother, David Sallis; her sister, Jo Ann Sallis; and her beloved grandson, Dustin McNeely.

Beth leaves behind a family who loved her dearly: her mother, Mary Jo Sallis; her sons, Daniel Salter and wife Amy, and Adam Salter and wife Christi; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Stevie, Victoria, Michael, Ryan, and Aidan Salter; her brothers Bruce Sallis and wife Chris; Steve Sallis and wife Linda; Randy Sallis and wife Gail; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

Beth’s life was a beautiful example of resilience, love, and joy. Her spirit will live on in the stories, smiles, and acts of kindness inspired by her memory.

A celebration of her life will be held on August 2nd at Calvary Baptist Church, 1385 Sloan Rd in Mansfield. Lunch will be provided for family and close friends at noon and the graveside service will be held at 1:30pm. All are welcome to join in honoring a life so richly lived.
