Lula Richards

Funeral services for Lula Mae Richards, 76, of Converse, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Blue Ridge Methodist Church, 3500 Hwy 175, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Bill Jones and Reverend David Hill. Burial will follow at Ajax Cemetery, Marthaville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the church.

Lula was born on August 30, 1946, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, to Geneva and William Hines, Sr. and entered into rest on July 28, 2023, in Many, Louisiana. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.  Lula enjoyed woodworking, cooking, sewing, crafts and being a member of Blue Ridge Methodist Church. Her favorite place to eat was at Great Wall Restaurant in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Preceding her in death are her husband, J.B. Richards; her parents; daughter, Robin Renee Richards; brother, Isaac Hines, Jr.; and sister, Cecil Horn.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Nathan Richards and Michael Richards; daughter-in-law, Julie Ambrose Richards; sisters, Cheryl Thornton, Francis Walker, Faye Anne Priest, and Jan Orum; grandchildren, Cody Brown and husband, Brandon Soliz, Brittany Richards, Dwayne Brackett, Colleen Brackett and fiancé, Reed Jeter; great grandchildren, Addilyn Hunter, Pazilei Hunter, Kaeson Hunter, Kadence Castillo, Makinnly Brackett, Kristopher Brackett, Kamden Jeter, and Kaleb Jeter; and niece, Beatrice “Bea” Lewis.
