Loyd William Buckner

Loyd Buckner, 84, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by family in Pelican, Louisiana on October 11, 2022.  He was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and spent his adult life in Shreveport, Louisiana. After obtaining an Accounting Degree from NSU, he worked in banking. He later owned Photo Craft and The Knife Shop. He enjoyed numerous hobbies including photography, woodworking, and gardening.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Betty; son Barry Buckner and wife, Cheryl; grandson, Dakota Buckner; daughter, Allyson DeLaune and husband, Pat; and granddaughter, Audrey DeLaune.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Pelican Cemetery in Pelican, Louisiana. Bro. Jeff Jinks will be officiating the service.

Honoring Loyd as pallbearers will be Michael Shambuger, David Shambuger, Pat DeLaune, and Dakota Buckner.
