Mrs. Louise M. Pierce, age 95, was born October 11, 1922 in Shongaloo, LA. She passed away peacefully at her home in Benton, LA on August 5, 2018. Services for Louise will be Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel with Rev. Robert Beadle officiating, assisted by Chaplain Hank. Interment will follow at Union Springs Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA. Visitation will be prior to the service Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m. Louise was a loving mother and was very devoted to her family. She was known to everyone as Nanny and treated all with love and kindness. She had beautiful dark red hair that matched her fiery spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Pierce; parents, Lewis R. and Lillie Matlock; stepmother, Mittie Matlock; son, James D. Pierce; sister, Dollie Mae Kilpatrick, and brother, Clyde Matlock. Louise is survived by her sister, Patsy Cater of Sarepta, LA; sister-in-law, Beth Matlock of Benton; son, Charles H. Pierce and wife, Diane; daughter, Lois Kinney, all of Benton, LA. She is also survived by grandchildren, DeWayne Pierce of Benton, LA, James Pierce of TX, Kimberly Lewis and Jimmy Scott of Fayetteville, AR, Pam McKeever and Buff of Benton, LA, Cody Dluzak and Michelle Ellison of Benton, LA, Susan and Rick Cavalier and Tammie and Billy Warren, all of Bossier City, LA. There are also great grandchildren, Brandon, Daryl and Lane Lewis, Crystal and Catrina Pierce, Brett and Randi Cavalier, Ty and Tad Clark and Bailey Newberry, as well as six great great grandchildren. A special thank you to Michelle Ellison, we couldn't have done it without you. Also a very special thank you to Chaplain Hank, Jackie Martin, Lisa, Carla and LaShonda with Nightingale Hospice who went above and beyond in the care they provided. Words cannot express the love and gratitude we have for them in this final journey.
