Lou Eva Granger Forrest, born October 16, 1935, died Friday, March 14, 2025. Passed away from natural causes, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Lou Eva Granger Forrest, mother to five children, Karen (deceased) of Fort Worth, Texas, Steve (68) of Phoenix, Arizona, Richard (65) of Piggott, Arkansas, John (60) of Austin, Texas, and Sally Carroway (54) of Benton, Louisiana.
She was born in Piggott, Arkansas, in 1935 to Jake and Gertrude Granger. She married George Forrest on June 13, 1953. To this union, five children were born. She loved being a wife and mother. She was an active member of the Methodist Church wherever she lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Gertrude Granger; her husband of 66 years, George Forrest; her daughter, Karen Castillo, and her brother, Milton Granger. She is survived by three sons, Steve (Virginia), Richard (Brenda), and John, and a daughter, Sally (Scott); Eight grandchildren, Misty Olson, Jake Castillo (Rachel), Gage Carroway (Rheagan), Gentry Carroway, Georgia Carroway, Thomas Forrest, Lisa Forrest, John Michael Forrest and five great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Lou was a loyal military wife who always managed to make any place a home with unending optimism. She was a true follower of Christ, full of love, and had a smile for everyone. She will be missed.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas.
