Lonzo L.V. Lonnie "Bubba" Vernal Hicks, Jr.

Lonzo L.V. Lonnie "Bubba" Vernal Hicks, Jr. passed on to his heavenly home on Friday, March 4, 2022. Lonzo was a longtime resident of Shreveport/Bossier City. He was a United States Navy Veteran, artist and operatic fanatic. Lonzo was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo Vernal Hicks Sr. and Zelma George Hicks; brothers, Wendell Lee Hicks, Sr. and James Hicks; sisters, Martha Faye Catlett, Elaine Rudd and Donna Sumrall; nephew, Wendell Lee Hicks, Jr. and niece, Deborah Diane Moss. Lonzo is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and friends who will miss him. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to your local PBS.
