SHREVEPORT, LA - A Graveside Service for Lonnie Mitchell Wheeler, 60, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, LA, with Rev. Larry Otwel officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Lonnie was born March 13, 1958, in Shreveport, LA to Madge and Leon Wheeler and passed away October 9, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. He was a small business owner and operated L & R Builders, a vinyl siding specialty company, for over 20 years. He was also a member of Springhill Masonic Lodge #348. Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Leon Wheeler and sister, Deenie Sturtz. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Melani Wheeler; mother, Madge Mitchell; sons, Lonnie Joshua Wheeler, Jacob Benton DeLoach and wife Casey and Patrick Lexington Wheeler; brothers, Danny Sturtz, Raymond Sturtz and Ronnie Wheeler; two grandchildren, Jolie Wheeler and Wesley DeLoach; and his beloved dog, Gizmo Wheeler.
