A celebration of life service for Loma Lafaye Anglin will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Hurricane at 2:00pm with Bro. Stephen Beard officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service in the gym of Emmanuel Baptist Church starting at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Hurricane Cemetery.
Loma was born on February 4, 1936, in Athens, Louisiana to Rogers and Virgie King Anglin. Her devoted daughter Celia and granddaughter Sara were by her side when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2026.
Loma was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She adored her family and loved her church family and friends. Loma enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and loved her flowers and gardens. She worked in administration as treasurer for PCA where she retired. After retiring, she went to work at Emmanuel Baptist Church as the church secretary. If the church doors were open, Loma was there. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist, and a devoted follower of her Savior.
Loma is preceded in death by her parents Rogers and Virgie Anglin, daughter Elizabeth Lafaye Maghsoud Roane, and brother Herman Anglin, Sr.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Celia Elkharash and husband Salem, sister Linda Jett and husband Eddie, grandchildren Peyvand Maghsoud and wife Katie, Rachael Elkharash Futch and husband William, Sara Maghsoud and Zachary Elkharash, great grandchildren Cameron and Maddox Maghsoud, sister-in-law Reba Youmans and the Altman family, her Bayou Family, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends including special friends Dorthea, Bobbie Sue and Shelby. Loma also loved her Presbyterian Village family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Samuel Abshire, Claiborne Memorial Hospital, PAM at Ochsner LSU and Sherri Lynn for their care of Mrs. Loma. They would also like to thank Presbyterian Village of Homer for the love and care over the last few years.
