Lois Jean Wood

Coushatta, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Lois Jean Wood, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Living Word Church in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Glenn Rogers, Rev. Paul Floyd and Rev. Harry Babers officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Ringgold, LA. The family will receive friends at Living Word Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service for visitation. Jean was born September 2, 1933, in Shreveport, LA to Clifford and Dollie Conly and entered into rest on September 9, 2018, in Many, LA. Preceding Jean in death were her parents; husband, Charles Douglas Wood; and sister, June Ferrell. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Buddy Wood and wife Melinda of Many, LA; daughter, Leigh W. Jonson of Winnsboro, LA; grandchildren, Laura Wood Freeman, John C. Wood, Erin E. Wood, Adam S. Jonson, and Fletcher Jonson; and six great grandchildren. Honoring the life of Jean as pallbearers will be Doug Ireland, David Stamey, Kevin Murphy, Mark Nabors, Lance Rogers and Buster Bailey. Honorary pallbearer will be Marlan "Junebug" Anderson.
