Funeral services honoring the life of Lois Goldsmith will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Tom Brown. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Simsboro, Louisiana.
Lois Goldsmith was born October 31,1949 in Arcadia, Louisiana to Almer and Nannie Goldsmith. He was the youngest in the family. He enjoyed going to church, singing and listening to music.
Lois was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Annie B. Arnold and Sallie F. Miller; and brother, Almer Kelly Goldsmith. To cherish his precious memories are his brothers, Willie Goldsmith and wife, Jodie, of Kent, WA, and Albert Goldsmith of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters, Jessie Roberts and Ruth Crystal of Roswell, NM, Bernice Franklin of Tempe, AZ, Azzie Daniels, Hessie Lyons and husband, Henry, and Mattie Goldsmith of Dallas, TX; and a host of nephews, nieces, and relatives.
The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to Shirley McBride and past/present staff at Vivian Home, Irving Place Nursing Home, Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, and Pinecrest Supports and Services Center. The members of the Lois Goldsmith family wish to thank everyone for the prayers and condolences in their time of celebrating the home going of their loved one. Thank you, and may God bless all of you.
