L J was born on April 27,1935 in Malvern Arkansas. He married his beloved wife, Maye, on July 16, 1954. They made their home in Shreveport. He was a devoted employee of Beaird Company working in accounting before assuming a role in Data Processing and spending several years as Director of Information Technology. He had the distinction of being their longest serving employee. After the company’s closure, he retired, while still staying active helping with both his son’s and son-in-law’s businesses. L J will be remembered for his generous heart, his deep love for his family, his upbeat attitude, his quick wit, and the immense joy he got from problem solving, especially with computer programming solutions. Everyone who met him enjoyed being around him. His loved ones are grateful for the example he provided in his daily living of how to love and are grateful he lived as Jesus taught us to live. He demonstrated that love every day of his life to every person he met. He has influenced the lives of several generations which is his gift to us and will continue into the future. He was the example of a life well lived as a good and faithful servant.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maye, whom he loved with all his heart; his parents, AJ Williams and Lynas Hollomon and husband, J D Hollomon; his sister, Janice Spellmeyer; and Maye’s twin sister, Faye Ulmer. He is survived by his sisters, Gean Johnson and Maxine Pate; brother, Mailon Williams and wife, Joyce; son, Bruce Williams and wife, Sherry; daughter, Elizabeth (Little Beth) Williams Adams, and husband, Russell; grandchildren, Lindsey Williams, Laura Hinze and husband Levi, Leah Isaacs and husband Scott, Ella Grace Williams; great-grandchildren, Taylor Sartori, Julia Sartori, Dagan Garrett, Jonah Garrett, Daniel Hinze, Luke Hinze, Scotty Isaacs, Matthew Isaacs, and Charlotte Isaacs. He had one great-great granddaughter, Blakely Sartori. He loved bragging about all of his “babies” and cherished each one. He had some very special friends, Santo Ferrara and Patricia Chamness, who brought joy and happiness to him and whom he loved.

Honoring L J as pallbearers are Keith McClung, Scott Isaacs, Levi Hinze, Patrick Sledge, Wayne Johnson, Antonio Taylor, and Scotty Isaacs.

The family is so thankful for the care L J received in these last few months at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing, Willis-Knighton Bossier, and the Carpenter House. He loved his time at Cypress Point, where he was affectionately called “Papa” or “Pop Pop” by many. The therapists made breakthroughs in his abilities he was so proud of. He had a special relationship with one therapist who had been involved in his care off and on for several years, Leslie Winkler, who became family to him, and we are grateful for her care. We will always cherish his happiness during that time.
