Linda Gale Swan

A "Celebration of Life" Memorial Service for Linda Gale Swan, 79, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. A  visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service at Rose-Neath.

Linda was born September 17, 1946 in Campti, Louisiana to William "Briggs" Swan and Ozie Swan, and passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Linda was a lifelong resident of Oil City, Louisiana, where she built a life rooted in family, friendship, and simple joys. She loved taking motorcycle rides with Teke, feeling the wind and freedom of the open road. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, whose visits filled her days with laughter, stories, and love.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Briggs and Ozie Swan. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Gorbet and Stephen Gorbet, and her daughter, Tammy Howell; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her life companion, John "Teke" Weaver.

Linda will be terribly missed, but the family will always love her and cherish all the beautiful memories we shared
