Linda D. Stump

Funeral services for Linda D. Stump “Yankee Rebel”, 78, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Hope Community Church of God, 3247 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Burial will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Chad Carter.

Linda was born on May 30, 1947 to Harold and Ruth Daily and passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Linda received her RN in nursing and worked in many capacities within the Willis Knighton system including the heart transplant team during the pioneer stages, eye surgery and labor and delivery. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting. She also flew airplanes with her dad and sang in the choir, traveling to Russia with the Shreveport Chamber Singers. Above all her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and church. She was truly a free spirit!

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 5 years, Roy Stump. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christy Dean, Chris Dowdy, Amber Dean, Brandon, Katy, Jessica, Kenley, Drake and numerous extended family.

Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be Ardis Peace, Doug Beverly, Rick Self, Charles Lizzyness, Aaron Nelson and Bob Davis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clint Stinson, Stephen Tingle and Bill King.
