Mrs. Linda Gayle Spears Sebren, 77 years old, of Noble, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, after a hard fought seven-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 6, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Zwolle, 2501 Port Arthur Street, Zwolle, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jerry Penfield and Bro. Marty Williams. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 5, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana.
Linda was born on July 18, 1943, to Ellis and Gladys Spears of Mansfield, Louisiana. While growing up in Mansfield, she was involved in numerous organizations and activities where her sweet personality left a lasting impression on those around her. After graduating from Mansfield High School, Linda went on to study at Northwestern State University.
In June of 1967, she married the love of her life, Donnie, and they began building their life together on Toledo Bend Lake. With the addition of three children, Wesley, Melissa, and Lori and four grandchildren, Ashlee, Samuel, Sarah, and Colin, they found themselves blessed beyond measure.
During her time on earth, Linda was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to so many. Her unconditional love for her family and friends knew no limits, and it inspired others to love just as she loved them. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love that was built on compassion, humility, determination, and unyielding faith. She played a significant role in the lives of everyone she met, and her legacy will continue to influence the lives of so many.
Preceding Linda in death are her parents, Ellis and Gladys Spears of Mansfield, Louisiana and brother James Spears. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Kennith "Donnie" Sebren of Noble, Louisiana; son, Wesley Sebren and wife Stacey of Eros, Louisiana; two daughters, Melissa Sebren-Monroe of Pineville, Louisiana and Lori Sebren of Shreveport, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Ashlee Sebren, Colin Sebren, Samuel Monroe, and Sarah Monroe; brother, Billy Spears and wife Lee of Logansport, Louisiana; sisters-in-love, Mary Jordan of Gloster, Louisiana, Joyce Sebren of Beaufort, North Carolina, and Debbie Golucke of Colorado Springs, Colorado; along with a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be Ed Jordan, Kyle Jordan, Mark Daniels, Jacob Harrell, Ron Ash, and Gary Golucke. Honorary pallbearers include her grandchildren, Ashlee Gale, Colin Wesley, Samuel Mason, and Sarah Melynn; her niece, Jennifer Spears; great-nephew Oliver Ash; and her sisters-in-love, Mary Jordan, Joyce Sebren, and Debbie Golucke.
The family would like to express special thanks to the healthcare workers of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana Superior Hospice, and the Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please honor her memory with donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center's Ovarian Cancer Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
