Linda Hines Jackson

Linda Hines Jackson, 76, passed away on March 2, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on September 17, 1947, in Jonesboro, Louisiana to David and Hazel Hines.

A private graveside service honoring the life of Linda will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, located at Liberty Hill Cemetery, 1689 Highway 508 in Bienville, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dennis Aaron.

Linda married Deward Jackson on April 7, 1967. She was a proud graduate of Pat Goins Beauty School located in the same town where she met the love of her life, Deward (Ruston, Louisiana). Later on, she became a homemaker and raised her two daughters. She was a talented gardener and spent most of her of days in the yard in her beautiful flower beds, which was a talent passed on from her mother. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Hazel, and her sisters, Nell Staggs and Betty Martin. Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Deward Jackson; daughters, Melissa Fouts (Edwin) and Amanda Smith (Sean); grandchildren, Annabelle, Sarah, Jessica, Jackson, and Tyler; great-granddaughter, Georgia; sisters, Mary Peterson of Alexandria and Joann Phillips of Baton Rouge; her beloved pet, Lola; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Christus Highland and Grace Home for their tender care provided to Linda and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Linda.
