Linda Lou Guenette

Linda Lou Guenette (Chandonnet), lovingly known as Nana, entered her eternal home on January 7th, 2021. Though she is gone, we find peace knowing her weakened body has been made whole again. She leaves behind her best friend and husband of 55 years, Thomas Alfred Guenette. He was truly the love of her whole life, growing up as childhood next-door neighbors and eventually marrying her army soldier in 1965. Over the years, Tom and Linda took many cross country road trips, enjoyed nights at the casino and countless filet dinners at their favorite restaurant. Linda spent her free time sewing, shopping and spoiling her grandkids. She enjoyed yard sales, watching Judge Judy and visiting with her family any chance she could. She lit up when she'd see her sweet little great-grans, dancing and singing and full of life when her little Kinzley was around. Linda Lou was the proudest mom and grandma, wanting to be a Nana to all who met her. She will forever be missed by her daughter, Tracy Scott (Blaine) and her son, Scott Guenette. Her "babies" as she affectionately referred to her grandkids, Chalaine Kilduff (Joe), Chandelle Maxwell (Cade), Blaine Scott and Mikayla Dansereau promise to keep her memory alive in sharing all the best ways she blessed their lives. From home-sewn Halloween costumes to summer vacations and funny one-liners, we will cherish all the precious moments and amazing memories until we get to feel her hug again in Paradise. Join us on Saturday, January 16th as we celebrate Linda's life at Rose Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Calling hours will begin at 1:00 p.m. and her memorial service will start at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
