Funeral services for Linda Dianne Ingram Van Zile, 77, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent. Officiating the service will be Dr. Cory Bruce.
Linda was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 8, 1948 to the late Richard Ingram, Sr. and Betty Kennington Ingram.
She graduated from LSU Shreveport and worked tirelessly as a juvenile probation officer, where she touched many lives for the better. She married her devoted husband, Tom Van Zile on August 7, 1998.
Linda had a wonderful zest for life. Her lovely smile and energetic engagement of life brought spark to the couple’s 28 year marriage. They enjoyed motorcycling. She was devoted to dancing, always glad to have someone join her on the dance floor. She was a character and leaves many fond memories for her loved ones to recall and cherish.
She attended Broadmoor Baptist Church. Her sister, Debbie Anderson and husband Wayne provided much love and support for her and Tom.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Ingram, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Whitley Heinz and husband, Sean; step-son, Patrick Van Zile and wife, Sicilie; granddaughters, Courtney Jester and husband, Corey and Kelby Heinz; step-granddaughter, Asher Van Zile; nieces, Christy Caro and husband, Armando, Lindsey Sayers and husband, Thomas and Mary Frances Crawford; nephew, Russell Ingram; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson and beloved cousins, Maria Higginbotham and husband, James, Jan Ingram Brooks and Paula Crumpton and husband, Michael.
Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be Jason Harris, Ryan Cullick, Kent Harrison, Brandon Stripland, Christopher Whitehead and John Hanning.
