HOMER, LA: Visitation will be held for Mrs. Linda Joy "L.J." Charping Davidson, 71, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Homer, LA, on Tuesday, February 5, 2018, from 6-8 P.M. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Mrs. Linda was born April 6, 1947, in Minden, LA, to Lon Sanders Charping and Mildred Langheld Charping. She entered into rest on Thursday, January 31, 2019, in Homer, LA. Mrs. Linda was a RN for many years at Christus Highland Hospital. She had a big heart and cared for anyone who had a need.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Melba Charping and Frances Mildred Brazzel; a grandson, Nicholas Cameron; and ex-husband, Kenneth Ross Davidson.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Davidson; a sister, Catherine Bright; two grandsons, Braedan Alexander and Jacob Lee; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Linda, her family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
