Linda Catherine Rachal Mitchell

Funeral arrangements for Linda Catherine Rachal Mitchell, 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Casey Hall.

Linda was born on March 8, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rachal and passed from her earthly life on Thursday, January 19, 2023. 

She was married to Floyd Gene Mitchell Sr. in 1970 and had two children, Kathy Mitchell Smith and Floyd Mitchell, Jr. She attended Broadacres and Westwood Baptist churches where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Linda enjoyed spending her time sewing, crocheting, and working word puzzles.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Joel Edwards and Larry Futrell, and sister, Lydia Ruth Bogan. She is survived by her children, Kathy Smith and husband, Brian and Floyd Mitchell, Jr; brothers, David Rachal and wife, Laura and Michael Rachal; sisters, Mary Ann Hoover and husband, Duane, Rose Poindexter and husband, Paul and Susan Tabor and husband, Roger as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be Floyd Mitchell, Jr., David Rachal, Brian Smith, Darrell Hoover, Jonathan Bogan, Jason Bogan, James Hoover and William Hall.
