Linda Joyce Davis Anderson

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Linda Joyce Davis Anderson, age 78, at McKenzie Cemetery near Homer, LA, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 East 5th Street, Homer, LA, from noon-1:30 p.m., prior to the service.

Linda was born January 16, 1948, in Haynesville, LA, to Charles L. and Katherine McKenzie Davis. She entered into rest on February 19, 2026, in Lillie, LA. Linda was one of four children and their mother was a seamstress making most of their clothes growing up. She helped out around the house in whatever she could do, even driving the tracker at a early age. Linda worked for Claiborne Home Health as a CNA for several years. She enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening. Linda cherished going to the thrift store to find good bargains and treasures. She was a devoted wife and good friend, and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Kathy Gaddy.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 26 years, Kent Anderson; son, Tommy Lawson and wife Sue of Springhill, LA; two sisters, Charlotte Lewis of Homer and Barbara Miller of Texarkana, AR; brother, Dale Davis of Hot Springs, AR; two grandchildren, Aaron Lawson and Brandy Gaddy; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Bentley; along numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Linda’s family would like to express their gratitude to Premiere Hospice and their staff members, Kim Roberson and Mary Edwards, for their care and compassion shown her.

In lieu of flowers honoring Linda, her family suggests memorials be made to donor’s choice.
