With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Lillie Gaspard Green, who entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2025. Born in Marksville, Louisiana, on September 3, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of Seaman Gaspard and Gladys Ducote.

Lillie shared over 30 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Leon Green. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her brother Franklin Gaspard, and her cherished son William Gaspard.

She was the proud and loving mother of Leontyne Dominick (Ernest) and Travis Gaspard, and the adoring grandmother to a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who brought her immense joy.

A graduate of Marksville High School, Lillie dedicated over 30 years of compassionate service as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Colonial Nursing Home before retiring in 2022. Her heart for caregiving extended beyond her career, she was a constant source of love, strength, and encouragement to those around her.

Lillie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved thrift shopping, always finding treasures in the most unexpected places. She was an avid birdwatcher, captivated by the beauty of hummingbirds and their graceful migrations.

Above all, Lillie was a woman of deep faith. From a young age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and her life was a testament to the power of prayer. A true prayer warrior, she never hesitated to intercede for her family and friends, lifting them up in times of need with unwavering faith.

Her laughter was contagious, her jokes always lightening the mood, and her presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her. Gentle, sweet, and full of love, Lillie embodied kindness and grace.

While she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with her loved ones, and resting in the arms of the Lord. Her legacy of love, faith, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Rest well, sweet Lillie. Until we meet again.
