Lillie Bell Killian Dryden was born on January 21, 1923, to Michael Franklin Killian and Izzela Williams Killian, in Merryville, Louisiana. She passed from this life on Monday, April 26, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after ninety-eight years full of life and love. She is preceded in death by her parents; her five siblings; her granddaughter, Cindy Colson; and her husband of seventy-one years, David O. Dryden.
She is survived by her children, Larry Dryden and wife, Sandra of Ida, Louisiana; Darrell Dryden and wife, Eleanor of Blanchard, Louisiana; Lois Dryden Ashby and husband, Jerry of Blanchard, Louisiana; Michael Dryden and wife, Susan of Blanchard, Louisiana; Eric Dryden and wife, Lan of Pearland, Texas; and her bonus boy she had the joy of raising, grandson, Kevin Dryden and wife, Adonya of Blanchard, Louisiana. She is survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Dryden had a boundless love for her family. She enjoyed cooking for them and visiting with them as much as possible. She loved being outdoors, whether working in the yard or taking long walks with her daughter. She never met a challenge she would not readily tackle-and could do anything from sewing her own new curtains to laying new flooring in her house; she even mastered using a computer after she was more than eighty years of age. She is deeply missed already, but she will live on in our hearts and memories.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Kevin Dryden, Sean Dryden, Kristopher Dryden, Ben Dryden, Landon Dryden, and Eli Dryden.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rick Colson, Zach Ashby, Sam Dryden, and Killian Dryden.
