Leonora Pearl Wixon

A private Memorial Service for Leonora P. Wixon, 72, will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Leonora was born on November 12, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Leonard Sneed and Vivian Whittlesey and passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Shreveport from Covid. Leonora was a resident of Shreveport. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years at several local hospitals and retired from Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. She loved spending time at her parents' home on Caddo Lake. They spent many wonderful times together fishing off the dock. Leonora also enjoyed going to the casinos. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scooter Dinkins, April Dinkins, Wendy Gentry and Patrick Wixon; five grandchildren, and her fiancé, Dr. Jack Wilkinson.
