Lenny was born on July 4, 1951 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Stanley J. Lewis and Pauline Taglavore Lewis and passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
While attending Jesuit High School, he was a running back in football as well as played on the baseball team. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Northwestern State University, he joined his father, Stan Lewis, in the music industry where he worked until retirement. He was a promotion man and enjoyed promoting songs. He was an avid sports fan and was known to have five tv’s going on at all time to watch multiple games.
Lenny was a family man. He shared a special relationship with his sister, who he lovingly called Sue, and they enjoyed going to the movies together. When Sue returned to school, he took on the task of babysitting his nephews, Michael and Christopher, and they made special memories together. He had a great smile and never encountered a stranger. He was loyal to his friends, and above all loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Susan Lewis Garriga; nephews, Christopher Garriga and wife, Jennifer and Michael Garriga and wife, Ali and great-nieces and great-nephews, Charley, Collins, Coulter and Grayson.
Honoring Lenny as pallbearers will be Bubba Cordaro, Kevin Cush, Chuck Hudson, Ron Lewis, Tim O’Laughlin and Johnny Taylor. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James Lewis, Sam Pernici and Donny Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Loyola College Prep, 921 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101.
