Visitation for Lelia Brown Parker, 95, will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Mansfield, LA at 3:00 - 5:00 on Sunday, December 12. A graveside ceremony will be held at the Mansfield Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 13 with Caleb Lewis officiating. Lelia was born in Mansfield, LA on November 5, 1926 to Brinton L. Brown and Charlie Mae Bell and passed away on Friday, December 10 in Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred E. Parker, Sr., son, Fred E. Parker, Jr, great-grandson, Chase Miller Parker, sisters, Charlotte Brown, Virginia B. Drewett, and Frances B. Fegley. She is survived by son, Dan L. Parker and wife Suzette of Benton, LA, daughter-in-law, Celeste S. Parker of Eunice, LA, grandchildren, Robert (Gina) Parker, Ryan Parker, Chad (Charlene) Parker, Kelli (Andrew) Smith Judd (Caroline) Parker, and Emily (Jade) Heinen, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family, and former daughter-in-law, Cathy Williamson. Special thanks to the staff of Brookdale and the many friends Lelia made in her 11 years there. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great nephews, Chad Parker, Robbie Parker, Ryan Parker, Judd Parker, Trey Fegley, and Brent Fegley. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Mansfield, LA or the donors' choice. Lelia always said, "Even with all the rough bumps, it was a wonderful life."
