Funeral services for Lee James Walker, Jr. will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Randy Hales, Rev. Brett Cook and Rev. Micah Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Lee was born March 14, 1934, in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into rest July 29, 2021, in Minden, Louisiana. Lee served his country and retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a deacon at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana for numerous years. Lee was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors, but his greatest love was his God, family, and church. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee J and Martha Walker; brother, Ronald Walker; and infant daughter, Carol Anne. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Mason Walker of Minden, son, James Lee "Jimmy" Walker and wife Valerie of West Monroe; daughters, Karen Blake and Husband Ricky of Minden, Melissa Rankin and husband George of Haughton, and Debbie Stanford and husband Mark of Hernando, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jamie Walker, Colton Walker, Chase Walker, Ben Walker, Brandon Sly, Toby Bonsall, Stephen Langford, Luke Guin, Chris Ross, Adam Brasher, Ryan Paige, and Truitt Allen.
