Funeral services for Lee Weldon Stockman, 86, will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Keithville Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor John Harp.
Lee was born on December 19, 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William Curtis Stockman and Rosalee Peterson Ward Stockman and passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 in Keithville.
Lee was a resident of Keithville. He was the most caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and always wanted nothing but the best for his family. He met Patsy at the age of 13, and they have been together ever since. He worked 42 years at Beaird Industries as an Industrial Engineer. He was the founder of the Keithville Volunteer Fire Department. Lee loved woodworking and was very talented at so many things. He helped build and remodel the Sunday school rooms at Summer Grove Baptist Church as well as spending many years building props for the Evangel Wings. He loved working on his farm and helping others. He was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Lee will be deeply missed.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosalee Stockman; and daughter, Cindy Lynne Stockman St. Amant. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life for 66 years, wife, Patsy Stockman; daughter, Jean Stockman; grandchildren, Crystal Hall, Amanda Eubanks, and B.J. St. Amant; great-grandchildren, Carissa, Seth, Patrick, Jake, Ellie, Audrey, Haloh, and Rebel; brothers, William Curtis Stockman, Jr. and John Boyce Ward; and sister, Christy Irby.
Honoring Lee as pallbearers will be Dave Baker, Paul Bison, Reed Bison, Gary Sliman, Ronnie Hurd, and Riley Stockman.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Brother John Harp, Paul and Debby Bison, Beth Baker, Diane Hardy, Life Path Hospice, WK North Oncology nurses and staff, and the many friends and family, for your love, caring and support during Lee’s final days.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookwood Baptist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or Holy Angels.
