Lee was born on March 18, 1939, to George Lee Hunt and Dorothy Joe Hunt in Henderson, Texas, and went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Lee was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather who embraced life with a deep passion for the outdoors and a steadfast faith. A graduate of Bossier High School in 1957, he was the yearbook photographer, capturing memories that would last a lifetime. He cherished hunting, fishing, and spending time outside, passing down his knowledge and love for the land to his children and grandchildren. Teaching them how to fish and hunt was more than a pastime—it was a way to bond and share in the beauty of nature.

Each morning, Lee found joy in sending out devotionals, spreading the gospel, and sharing his love for God. His faith was a guiding force in his life, touching the hearts of all who received his messages. As a devoted member of Airline Baptist Church, he embraced his spiritual journey with deep commitment, finding strength in his beliefs and community. He married the love of his life, Bettye Mullins, on February 20, 1957, in a love story that was truly special. Their bond grew stronger with each passing year, and they celebrated 68 beautiful years of marriage on February 20, 2025. Lee’s legacy of love, faith, and family will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him.

Lee was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Dwayne Hunt, and parents, George and Dorothy Hunt. He is survived by his loving wife, Bettye Mullins Hunt; daughters, Carmya Lea Hunt Sosbe, Teressa Hunt Fuller, and husband, Kent, and Bettye Jo Hunt Stalnaker and husband, John; sons, George David Hunt and wife, Valorie, and Joseph Carl Hunt and wife, Mandy; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
