Leanne Culpepper

Funeral services for Leanne Culpepper will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Minden, Louisiana with Father Kallookalam officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Leanne was born October 10, 1962, in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest December 16, 2022, in Sibley, Louisiana.

Leanne’s true calling was nursing. She took the time to get to know her patients and give them the best care possible. She loved each one as well as all the staff of Willis Knighton. She was a person who never met a stranger and could walk into a crowd of people she didn’t know and come out with a new friend. She was a collector of all things beautiful, especially those of the natural world. She loved rocks, woods, flowers, and animals of all kinds. She fed the fish and frogs in the pond at work, the birds in her yard, and the foxes in the neighborhood. Leanne loved her family and friends and was delighted to be Nana to her granddaughter. She left us with a legacy of love.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Culpepper; son, Tommy Allen Culpepper; and grandparents, Sherill and Irene Culpepper and Deward and Florence Robinson.

She is survived by her partner, Richard Thornton of Sibley; mother, Marcelee Culpepper of Minden; son, Will Schubnell of Shreveport; daughter, Mallorie Bush (David) of Shreveport; sister Lejean Moore (Joe) of Deville; brothers, Charles Culpepper (Donna) of Nocona, TX and James Culpepper (Terri) of Minden; and granddaughter, Kennedi Bush.

The pallbearers will be Cole Thornton, David Bush, Chris Bagwell, Douglas Culpepper, Kade Morace, and Paul Culpepper.

The honorary pallbearer is Sammy Slayter.
