Lawrence Franklin Dunn

Graveside services for Lawrence Franklin Dunn, 83, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, LA with Pastor Aaron Huffman officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside. Larry was born August 9, 1935 in Shreveport, LA and went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2018. He was born and raised in Greenwood, LA. He attending Louisiana Tech and LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. He loved being busy outdoors gardening, passing time watching deer graze in his yard, and having lunch with his longtime friend, Sidney Herold. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Emma Dunn and wife, Joy Gore Dunn. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Larry Thomas Dunn and Jay Todd Dunn; daughters, Kellie Dunn-Bruce and Kristie Dunn-Alfred; grandchildren, Scott Anthony Dunn, Greer Ethan Vincent, Garrett Matthew Bruce, Hayden Michael Bruce, Greysen Evan Alfred, and Emma Grace Alfred; sister, Ellise Dunn-Wissing; and special friends, Stan Ford, Sidney Herold, Dana Wilson and Ranell McEarchern. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenwood United Methodist Church, PO Box 555, Greenwood, LA 71033. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Covenant House in Cedar Park, TX for their amazing care.
