Lavon G. Pruitt Smith
Funeral services for Lavon G. Pruitt Smith will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time February 10, 2019.
Lavon was born September 14, 1940 in Sibley, Louisiana and entered into rest February 7, 2019 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Lavon worked as School Food Service Supervisor for the Webster Parish School system and retired after 25 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck Smith, son, Anthony (Tony) Pruitt, father and mother, Louie and Viola Gray, brother, Donald, and sister, Sue.
She is survived by her son, Michael Pruitt and Rhonda, granddaughter, Charly Dew and husband Levi, granddaughter Cady Pruitt, great-grandson, Paxton and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Levi Dew, Ed Prince, Landon Kennington, Landon Raspberry, Cherokee Edwards, and Zach Beard.
In lieu of flowers family request donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
