Laverla Statler Luter

Laverla Statler Luter, 92, long-time resident of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025. A memorial will be held on at 1:00 pm, February 21, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, 71111.

Laverla was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edison “Tracey” Luter; her son, Kevin Luter; and her daughter, Kathy Dawn Luter. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Luter Wellborn, and her grandchildren, Joshua Luter, Chelsea Hampton Heredia, and Ryan Walker Wellborn. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jackson Luter, 3, Oliver Luter, 6 months, Devin Marie Hampton, 11, Maddox James Hampton, 9, Christopher Jesus Heredia, 16 months, and Niko Juniper Cohen Wellborn, 5, and many nieces and nephews.

Laverla was born on December 28, 1932, in Sedgewickville, Missouri. She retired as a manager from Kmart. Her life was devoted to her family, her Baptist faith, and she was very active at Northwest State School.
