SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Larry Day Maxwell, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the funeral home.
Larry was born November 11, 1937 in Salina, UT to Alberta Dell Maxwell and Lloyd Anderson Maxwell and passed away July 14, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church. Larry retired after 33 years and 8 days from Atlas Refinery in Shreveport. He will be dearly missed by all.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Dell Day Maxwell Perkins and father, Lloyd Anderson Maxwell. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years Gaye Cantrell Maxwell; sons, Ronnie D. Maxwell and wife Linda, Greg Maxwell and wife Sandy, Jody Maxwell and wife Susan; brothers, Albert Maxwell and wife Kay, Gordon Maxwell, Roger Maxwell and wife Betty; brothers-in-law, William David Cantrell and wife June and Ronald Reed Cantrell; grandchildren, Shane, Shea, Andria, Fallon, Cody, Camron and Dustin Maxwell; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Scarlette, Madisyn, Kyan, Leigha, Ember, Judd, Jace, Dakota, Bryton, Nate, Piper, Preslee, Sean, Daylan, Logan, and Colton.
Honoring Larry as pallbearers will be Cameron Maxwell, Dustin Maxwell, Shane Maxwell, Randy Cantrell, David Cantrell and Bill Cantrell. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ronald Reed Cantrell.
