Larry E. Howard

A “Celebration of Life” Service for Larry E. Howard, 87, will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ellerbe Road Methodist Church, 10130 Ellerbe Church Rd., Shreveport, LA. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Korlaske.

Larry was born in Paintsville, Kentucky to Dolpha and Agnes Pelphrey Howard and passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Shreveport.

Larry was a resident of Shreveport. He was married to the love of his life, Pat Howard, for 68 years. Larry was a member of the Rotary Club for 53 years. He was President of the Rotary Club of South Shreveport and Rotary International District Governor of 6190. He worked as an IT Systems Analyst for NCR and Arkla Gas, Consulting Contracts PG&E and Philadelphia Water. He enjoyed his grandchildren, Tara and Andrew and their activities. He took church mission trips and loved hosting Rotary Exchange groups. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially the University of Kentucky basketball.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, David Howard and Phillip Howard; and sisters-in-law, Sue Howard and Kay Howard. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia “Pat” Howard; son, L. Michael Howard; and daughter, Lori Ann Howard.

Larry will be greatly missed but the family is thankful for the wonderful years they enjoyed together and will always love and cherish his memory.
