Funeral services for Larry Douglas Batts, 75, will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the funeral until service time. Interment will be at the NWLA Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd. in Keithville, Louisiana on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Larry was born on August 18, 1946 to Barney and Virginia Batts in Vivian, Louisiana and passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Larry was a resident of Blanchard, Louisiana. He graduated from North Caddo High School and joined the Navy where he served for 20 years. He had a passion for fishing and deer hunting. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Roger Batts. Left to cherish his memory is his spouse of 44 years, Deanne Batts; children, Gary Bamburg, Veronica Franks and husband, Jeff, and Jennifer Hughes; grandchildren, Karlie Hughes, Vanessa Hughes, Wyatt Franks, Kristine Blake and Cason Blake; great-grandchildren, Aurora Jones, Octavia Jones and Willow Jones; siblings, Kenneth Batts and wife, Rebecca, Kathleen Gholson and husband, Bob, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
