Larry Clark Armour
Frierson, LA-Funeral services for Larry Clark Armour, Sr. will be conducted at 12:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Shreveport, LA on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 with Chaplain Pete King officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday, October 21, 2019 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at the Frierson-Evergreen Cemetery in Frierson, LA. Mr. Armour went to rest after a lengthy illness on October 17, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. He was born August 8, 1943.
A man of integrity, kind hearted and devoted to the ones closest to him, Larry lived life to the fullest. He retired from State Farm Insurance as an adjuster. A member of El Karubah Shrine, past Captain of Arab Unit, Royal Order of Jesters and Jesters on Wheels. His greatest pleasure was the journeys he made with friends on the seat of a Harley. There is hardly a road in the U.S. and other countries that Larry didn't ride down more than once! He would always say "If something bad happens, it will happen while I'm doing something I love and I'm saved!" Larry touched countless lives, he had an immense ability to make you laugh and words can not express how he will be missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Gloria; two sons, Larry Clark Armour, Jr. and wife Bonita of Alexandria, LA and John Olen Armour and wife Kelly of Houston TX; two step-sons, Allen Prudhome of Frierson, LA and David Prudhome and wife Belinda "B" Prudhome of Frierson; sister, Elaine Clements of Shongaloo, LA; brother, Daniel Armour of Shongaloo, LA; cherished grandson, Quinton Prudhome; grand daughters, Abigail Armour and Jennifer Levasseur, grandson, Joseph Prudhome; and many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Cortez Armour of Shongaloo, LA.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Kenny Hamm, Bob Bacon, James Dyess, Dave Olson, J.T. Thompson, W.D. Rice, Barry Roberts, and Mike Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesters on Wheels.
His family would like to thank our sweet Audrey Ruben, who came to us when we needed her.
