With heavy hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life and legacy of Kristy Anne Terrell, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 39. Born on September 21, 1985, in Torrance, California, Kristy was a radiant spirit who lived with strength, compassion, and joy. Kristy was raised in Gardena, California, and over the years, her journey took her across the country, calling home to places including Woodbridge, Virginia; Morgantown, West Virginia; Souderton, Pennsylvania; Baltimore, Maryland; and Washington, D.C. No matter where she lived, Kristy left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone she met.
A dedicated learner and teacher, Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, became a licensed massage therapist, and later pursued truck driving certification. Her career reflected her wide range of talents—she taught massage therapy and served in administrative roles at several colleges. She was also a skilled bartender, always bringing energy and warmth to every room she entered. Kristy’s passion for sports was a defining part of her life. She loved playing basketball and, in her bold and determined spirit, even tried out for a women’s professional football league. More than her achievements, Kristy will be remembered for her big heart, her sense of humor, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. She was the kind of person who encouraged others, stood strong through life’s storms, and lived each day with courage and authenticity.
Kristy is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Baird; her beloved son, Antoneyo Dunham; her mother, Paula W. Terrell; her sister, Pauline Moore; and her brothers, James Terrell and Clinton Arnold. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Terrell and her uncle, Dwayne Wooter and a host of family and friends.
