Kevin Rex Holland

A Memorial Service for Kevin Rex Holland, 59, will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Joe Wiggins. Kevin was born on October 4, 1961 to Davey and Dru Holland and passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Shreveport. Kevin was a resident of Mooringsport, Louisiana where he loved to hunt. He had a passion for collecting guns and loved his LSU Tigers. Kevin worked for the Shreveport Fire Department before becoming a nurse and worked in the Emergency Room for 30+ years at Ochsner LSU Health. He was a member of the Nursing Honor Guard. He also served in the United States Army. Kevin was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Kevin is preceded in death by his mother, Drucilla Holland. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 18 years, Kimberly Holland; father, Davey Holland; sister, Karla Connella and husband, Chad; daughters, Whitney Bell and husband, Josh, Shannon Bunn and husband, Justin, and Alexis Parsley and husband, Cody; six grandchildren, Annaleigh, Landry, Braeden, Brooklyn, Emma Kate, Baylor Wayne; nieces, Madison and Allison Connella and Natalie and Bella Munoz; and nephew, Ryleigh Schiro. Honoring Kevin as pallbearers will be Josh Bell, Justin Bunn, Cody Parsley, Neal Schiro, Paul Schiro, Chad Connella and Brad Fullerton. The family would like to express special thanks to Ochsner LSU Health System Emergency Room staff. The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
