Kenneth was born March 13, 1947 in Desoto, Texas to A.D. Nelson and Alphie Dehart Nelson and passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Kenneth went to welding school where he met the love of his life, Dean. When he saw her in the class, he was so nervous that he had to build up the courage to go and talk to her. When he finally got the courage, all he could get out was, "nice boots." From there their relationship blossomed into a lifelong love together that lasted for 47 years. If you were to ask anyone, they would tell you that meeting Dean was his proudest moment in his life. Kenneth had many passions that included welding, fishing, John Wayne, building and anything to do with westerner cowboys. He was creative when it came to his welding and was always making and building things for family and friends. Kenneth's favorite western show was "Gun Smoke." He loved spending time in his yard, gardening and building bird houses for Dean. Kenneth had chickens and rabbits in his yard and enjoyed nature and the outdoors. He also had one of the biggest, sweet tooths. He loved his chocolate, candies, and anything really that he could snack on. If you were to ask someone to tell you about Kenneth, they would always say that he has a heart of gold. He was a family man and loved his wife, children and grandchildren so dearly. If anyone needed to talk, he would be happy to sit and listen, and give some of the greatest advice they would probably will ever get. He is going to be greatly missed by his loved ones and anyone who ever got the chance to meet him. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melvadean "Dean" Kyles Nelson; sister, Dorothy Hackworth; brothers, A.D. Nelson, Jr. and Curtis Nelson.
