Kenneth Bryan Middleton

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Kenneth Bryan Middleton, SR, age 72, at the Evening Light Tabernacle in Dixie Inn, LA, on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at noon, with Rev. Tim Pruitt, officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Lebanon Cemetery in Ruple Community, LA. Visitation will be at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5^th Street, Homer, LA, on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. Middleton was born February 27, 1951, in Fort Worth, TX, to James E. and Opal Mozelle Birdsong Middleton. He entered Glory shortly after midnight on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by family and friends in Doyline, LA. Mr. Middleton was employed in various positions from the oil field to a bus driver and finally by the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk. He always had something funny to say or a positive word of wisdom to share with those around him. He was a devout Christian who gave his heart to the Lord and never looked back. Mr. Middleton was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who enjoyed making memories with them.

He is preceeded in death by his parents; daughter, Gatha Middleton; and two brothers, Tommy G. Middleton and James E. Middleton, III.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Corliss Loretta Hunter Middleton; two sons, Kenneth B. Middleton, Jr. and fiancé Margie and Jonathan D. Middleton, SR, and wife Susan all of Minden, LA; two daughters, Sarah R. Huey of Doyline, LA, and Lily H. Pedersoli of Haughton, LA; sister, Martha Ludwig and husband Wayne of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Vic S. Middleton, SR of Homer, LA; aunt, Dot Shuttlesworth; eleven grandchildren, Patrick Middleton, Hans Middleton, Tristan Middleton, Gatha C. Middleton, J. Daniel Middleton, JR, Hannah Middleton, Bryan Graves, Timothy Hall, Lillian Ware, Caleb Pedersoli, and Christian Pedersoli; three great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Middleton’s family would like to express their gratitude to the team of doctors, nurses, and St Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion given him during his final days.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Middleton, Darryl Baxter, Phillip Roncali, Timothy Winters, Jonathan Middleton, SR, and Mike Ware.

The honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Roncali.
