Kenneth Keith Kennedy

A "Celebration of Life" Memorial Service for Kenneth K. Kennedy, 86, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Dr. Murry Hodge, assisted by Richard W. Kennedy

Kenneth was born October 20, 1939 to Buford C. and Lura M. Kennedy in Caddo, Oklahoma, and passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Shreveport.

Kenneth graduated from Fair Park High School and continued his education by taking several courses at Centenary College while pursuing a career in retail sales. He dedicated more than 50 years to the industry, working faithfully for Dunn Furniture, Brenner’s Furniture, and Ivan Smith.

He loved the Lord, cherished his family, and adored his loyal dog, Rusty. Kenneth also had a lifelong passion for playing golf, a pastime that brought him joy and peace throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, his wife of 66 years, Catherine H. Kennedy; brother, Donald W. Kennedy; sister, Rosa Claudette Evans; grandson, Daniel Curtis Bedgood; and his in-laws, Willard and Grace Haynes. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kirby Kennedy and his wife, Patty, Cathy Lynette Bedgood, Rev. Richard Kennedy and his wife, Janice; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Honoring Kenneth as pallbearers will be Drew Kennedy, Paul Bedgood, Ethan Myrda, and Paxton Bedgood.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Gideon's International, 2900 Lebanon Road, Nashville, TN 37214, the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
