Kenneth Elroe Buckley was born on July 30, 1936 to Elroe Buckley and Amidell Oldham Buckley in Paducah, Texas and passed away on May 12, 2025 in Zwolle, Louisiana at the age of 88 years old.
Kenneth graduated from Paducah High School in 1953 and was involved in many sports as well as having a grand champion steer at the county fair. He married Carolle Nadine Edwards in 1957. They lived in many places including Eunice, New Mexico; Midland, Texas; Beaumont, Texas and Bridgeport, Texas. He retired from the oilfield industry in Lovington, New Mexico. After retirement, they moved to Toledo Bend in Many, Louisiana and enjoyed gambling, fishing, and a little golfing. Ken was known by his family, friends, and neighbors to be a jack-of-all-trades. Everyone who knew him would come to ask for his help in fixing plumbing, broken lawn mowers, building houses, sprinkler systems, cars, and even electrical issues. He will be missed by many.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Carolle Nadine Edwards Buckley; brother, Don Buckley; granddaughter, Melody Erwin; and sisters-in-law, Patty Buckley and Sandy Buckley. He is survived by his oldest daughter, Janelle Erwin and husband, Steve, middle daughter, Jackie Stacy, and youngest daughter, Cyndi Stump and husband, Craig. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul Buckley and Newton Buckley and wife, Monna, and many grandchildren, Jenny Erwin, Will Erwin, JoBeth Cunningham and husband, John, Sarah Baker and fiancé, James Emilio, Chantry Stump and wife, Cora, Conor Stump and wife, Elly, and Casey Stump and fiancé, Ashlee Locke. He has numerous precious great-grandchildren to carry on his legacy, Jeremiah Cunningham, Rowan Erwin, Cal Cunningham, Logan Erwin, Tate Cunningham, Olivia Baker, Jaxon Cunninham, and Miles Stump.
