Kenneth DeWayne "Humpy" Berry

Kenneth “Humpy” Dewayne Berry, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Christus Highland Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Kenneth was a loving man who cherished his family and treasured the time they shared together. He found great joy in fishing, peaceful days outdoors, and making memories with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and precious memories he gave his family.

A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the San Patricio Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Asbell & Bro. Chucky Clark officiating. A visitation will begin at 10:00am until time of service on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the San Patricio Baptist Church in Converse. Burial will follow at the Cassell Cemetery in Noble, LA.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Joyce Marie Myers Berry of Converse; sister, Cynthia (Harley) Ford of Converse; nephews, Justin (Katlyn) Ford of Converse and Thomas Dewayne Ford (Bryan) of Mississippi.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Justin Ford, Thomas Ford, Thimothy Cummings, Dakota Buecker, Rodney Golden & Peanut Myers.

Honorary pallbearers are Ethan Buecker and Scotty Cummings.

He was preceded by in death by his father, Van Berry; brother, Jeffery Myers; paternal grandparents, Tom & Effie Berry; maternal grandparents, Henry & Rossell Myers; niece, Jessica Lynn Ford.
