Kennedy was born on February 6, 2012, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Jeffrey and Ashley Belden and passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 in Keithville, Louisiana. She was the big sister to Michael Mark. She was bright and studious from the beginning.
Kennedy attended Fairfield Elementary Magnet and was an eighth-grade student at Caddo Middle Magnet. She was a multi-award-winning artist and an active member of both the Talented Arts and Talented Drama programs. Academically, she excelled—earning a place on the Principal’s List, membership in the National Junior Honor Society, and recognition as a Junior National Youth Leadership member. She was also a dedicated three-year member of the CMM tennis team and an active participant in the Shreveport Baptist Temple Youth Group.
From the smallest insect to the people around her, Kennedy cherished all life deeply. Her experiences inspired her dream of becoming a mental health professional, driven by a genuine desire to help others. She loved with a depth and intensity that few could match.
Kennedy was fearless and full of life—whether she was riding roller coasters, kayaking, skateboarding, rollerblading, biking, hiking, floating down rivers, or paddling out on a surfboard. She was also a gifted bracelet maker and a true thrifting expert—someone you would absolutely want by your side on any shopping or antiquing adventure.
She is preceded in death by Michael Alan Belden, Mark Garceau, Danny Garceau, Katherine Garceau, Charles Lacobee, and JoAnn Ray.
Left to cherish her memory is her parents, Jeffrey and Ashley Belden; brother, Michael Mark Belden; Diane Ray and David Ray; grandparents, Sandy and Derrel Franks; grandparents, Dan and Carol Garceau; great-grandparents, Uncle Joseph Duncan and wife, Krista, and Uncle Thomas O'Hara and wife, Angie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
Honoring Kennedy as pallbearers will be Joseph Duncan, Derrel Franks, David Ray, Scott Garceau, Perry McDaniel, and Travis Ryan.
Kennedy is forever in our hearts. We miss and love you so much!
