Kayla Christine Cabrera

Shreveport, LA - Kayla Christine Cabrera born as my first child on February 28, 1997, opened her wings to fly to Heaven for an eternity on March 2, 2019. Oh' what a beautiful face that can't be replaced. Her spirit shines bright like an everlasting light. A Celebration of Life for Kayla will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tim Barnes of Asbury United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Bossier on Saturday. Left here to cherish Kayla's memory is her son, Aksel Kaine Cabrera of Shreveport, LA; mother, Mary Collins Cabrera Akins and husband, Edward of Shreveport, LA; father, Adolfo Cabrera and wife, Cecelia of Shreveport, LA; grandparents, Vincent Collins of Long Beach, CA; Candis Layne of Broken Arrow, OK; Olivierio Cabrera and wife, Delores of Veracruz, Mexico; sister, Leslie Renee Cabrera and brothers, Adolfo Vincent Cabrera and Woody Olivierio Cabrera, all of Shreveport, LA. So full of life, love, and innocence like the earth, sky, moon, and light. Every smile, every tear, every day I will always be here to hold you tight all through the night, to play, laugh, and smile as day light comes and goes and the darkness appears, I will always be here. I don't have enough words to say or time to show you how much I love you. My heart is broken, our family's hearts are broken and a piece of me and our family is missing, that has changed our lives forever. I don't know how to go on, but I know my faith and God's love will pull us through somehow, some way, and some day. I love you more than life itself and I will raise Aksel as my own, because what you left behind is a part of you that I am grateful for. Your son, your smile, your memories, and your love will always be with us.
